National League Linth
The secon round of the National League took place in Benken, St. Gallen.
The so called “Linthathlon” is known for it’s unique swim in the channel Linth. All athletes are required to swim downwards the stream which makes the swim splits a whole lot faster than usually. This also meant the distance was much longer than what we are used to race (1.7km).
Apart from that it was a normal supersprint race with 7.5km bike on a flat course and 1.7km run.
Unfortunately we still missed the pack on the bike and had a similiarly lonely race as last week.
Good thing is: both finished the race, the field was small with only 15 girls competing and quite staked with an olympian in the front. We are trying to take out some positivies, analyze the good parts and the mistakes and get all ready for another weekend.
next up: swiss champs in zurich.
