Swiss Championships

Once you realize that it all lies within you, you take responsibility for everything.
Then it comes down to doing everything you can. The very best that you can. With all the focus, energy and commitment you have. (Siri Lindley)

One week ago we competed in our second elite & underneath 23 siwss championships.

Happines and frustration layed so close to each other.
We both went out hard in the swim and within the 30 ladies at the start, it was a tough battle to find and keep a good position.

Lea caught a good spot, roughly made the second chase pack and ran home a solid run. The first time ever, where she managed to stay in the group, held her confidence high and trusted her instinct. Probably the best race she had so far on this level of racing and a personal milestone.

Anna struggled a bit more in the swim and suffered a mechanical problem, the moment she started the bike part of the race. The saddle being down on the lowest point made her ride the 20 kilometers in a terrible position and almost no chance to push watts. She tried her best and commited to finish the race. No matter how much time she had lost on everyone else. A lonely and tough battle for the mind.

Overall, Zurich was an event to remember. The crowd was amazing, the scenery epic and we loved racing in our favorite city of Switzerland.

Thank you for the cheering, the messages, the support.
Remember: before races became something to improve at all costs, it was the thrill and joy of competing that made you show up. Let’s keep it that way.
