postcards from altitude
We look back on two weeks up in Silvaplana. After four years we got the chance to return to the same spot that once lit a part of our passion for endurance sports. A trainingcamp should not serve as a „boot camp“ - it‘s only the continuation of what you do in normal life already. The positive: focus lays on training, recovery and nutrition only. As we start into the third semester of the “Matura” on august 22 we did have to do some studying but still got enough time to enjoy what camp life offers and get in proper sessions.
Thank you to the RLZ Mittelland for the opportunity and Michael / Marco for the coaching on deck.
A solid block is done and we‘re eager to get some more racing days in August.
There are many takeaways after 14 days. To sum them up:
altitude humbles you.
sleeping in a bunker makes you appreciate the kingsize bed at your parent’s house.
In order to make a meaningful difference, habits need to persist long enough.
being completely off social media for over one month is the best reset one could do.
good people make the hard days fun.
confidence sits on experience.
